Start with the source layer

The AI Agent Systems service headline is explicit: build assistants with approved sources, task boundaries, prompts, review gates, and a maintenance plan. A model alone does not establish what it may say, which material it may use, or where responsibility remains.

Readiness begins by inventorying existing material, marking gaps, and deciding what can be trusted for the selected task. This protects the system from treating scattered documents as equal evidence.

Define a bounded first task

Choose a repeated task with known inputs, an allowed source pack, a clear output shape, and a human owner. The assistant may prepare, classify, retrieve, or summarise within that boundary rather than being described as a general autonomous worker.

Prompts and retrieval rules should point back to the approved material. If the source is absent or the question exceeds the boundary, the useful behaviour is to ask, flag, or hand off.

Plan the review and maintenance

The service guidance includes review gates and ongoing maintenance because useful AI work changes as sources, policies, and workflows change. Record what sources were used, what was excluded, and what a reviewer corrected.

That record turns a pilot into a governed capability without making unverified claims about intelligence, accuracy, or autonomy.
